You may be having a virus or spyware installed on your PC. Norton, AVG , Avast are free antivirus software. Ad-aware, Ewido are free spyware removers. You can download free softwares at http://fixit.in/antivirus.html and http://fixit.in/spywareremover.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info

Panda Antivirus is the latest generation of antivirus solution. Its innovative technology and ease of use make it the most powerful antivirus on the market. The new Panda Antivirus 2008 is the easiest and most useful protection for yourself, your family, and your PC online.

Panda is alright. Avast, Avira, and AVG also offer free versions of their antivirus protection, and I think TrendMicro does too. Any of these can be found on http://www.download.com .
However, a little context is appropriate. Free antivirus software can be decent, but is not nearly as good as the full pay-for versions of the same product, especially when it comes to handling severe virus baddies. Even a full security suite of one of the more spendy (and in my opinion, best) products out there, Kaspersky Internet Security, will run only about $70 a year.
That’s six bucks a month. Considering the headache you’d go through after an infection, to me, it’s money well spent.
