i have the regular windows vista home premium without sp1 but if i install sp1 and for some reason uninstall it will it revert back to my current version?

just buy a Mac, no problems ever, leopard is far more advanced than vista. You would honestly be a lot happier after a week or so of using one. and kiss anti-virus software goodbye.

If you have an install disk fro what you have, then you can reinstall that, but you cannot back out SP1.
My condolences for such a lemon of an OS. You probably have no idea what Microsoft has done by passing that off to you.

i don't believe you can uninstall service packs. if you install an individual update, you can uninstall them.
if you would uninstall an update, you would remove the intended purpose of the update, to patch a programming error.
