What is a GOOD PRICE AND AVG MILEAGE FOR A 92 Camaro? 10 POINTS?

August 14th, 2008 · 1 Comment

On the market, whats a good/decent mileage range for a 92 Camaro specifically, and whats a good price to buy these? Like one that will last for a good 3 or 4 or more without breaking down.

BTW is this car a good first car? For the longest time, I wanted a Trans Am 2002 but thats not really not practical at all, with alot of $ for a car 6 years old, insurance, etc.

Is it still too “powerful” or is it fine as a first car.

It all depends on whether you are looking at the 3.1 V-6, the 5.0 V-8 or the 5.7 V-8.

The V-6 had some issues as I recall and lasted til about 150,000 miles or so, depending on maintenance and how it was driven. The 5.0 was a decent V-8, but also had some minor issues. The 5.7 V-8 to me is the best V-8. It has been around for a long time and has always proven to be reliable with a lifetime of 250k +/- miles before needing some major work.

Price range you are probably looking between $2,000 - $3,000 depending on where you live for any model.
