Listen i will tel you this only once. if they ask for a password it’s more than most likely that the file you downloaded is not the movie or programme you wanted. they will ask for your e-mail or even worse your phone number so they can send you spam and stuff. i am downloading now for a good 4 years and i have seen many of these kind of things. i have seen a lot of fake downloads and i suggest you read the comments before you download a movie. If there is a new movie witch is just in the theatre and there is a dvdrip online its a 99% chance it’s a fake. just wait for a few months or download a camrip so you won’t be dissapointed. if you think that the download could be a fake but you don’t know for sure just wait untill someone left a comment so you won’t have to do all the hard work for nothing. and just a tip if your still want the password and they ask for your phone number do NOT EVER give it they will send you sms messages where you will have to pay for and there is almost no easy way out of it.

I figuered it out!! heres the password box. right click the file, goto delete, and click. then goto your recycle bin, or trash can.. right click and goto empty trash. then a password box will apear when u start downloading the movie from another site!!!

Anonymous..How exactly do you preview torrents? Excuse my ignorance on this but I’m sort of new to the whole torrent downloading movies and shit. I tried stopping the file but when I went to go play the file and it just says windows media cannot play the file (and that it might not support the codec used to compress it). It would definitely save me some time so I don’t have to worry about downloading large files that take a while only to find out it’s a scam. Thx for any help you can provide

Help Please!!! I just spent 4 days downloading a movie ( I have dial-up and it tied my phone up for the 4 days, except for the times my computer crashed and I hurried and made a few quick calls inbetween booting up) and anyway, when I played the movie , all I got was a 4 minute 3 second of a hand pushing a keypad .

The message says’TYPE PASSWORD NOW and protection will disable and then tells me I can get the password free at cryptoguardian.com.if I don’t have one. I have tried a couple a hundred times at least typing in words on the keyboard and hitting enter thinking maybe I could get lucky but so far no good.

Anyway,I went there to the website and it took forever to load and I had to sign up for a lot of stuff (my computer has really slowed downed a heck of a lot since my free subscription to a trial version of Norton expired a few months ago. (I was going to buy the antivirus part of the program because my friend Randy (my computer go-to- guy) told me virus programs were worth the money, but my Honda Civic goes thru a lot of oil since it got hot when my radiator boiled over and with the constant buying of oil (even buying the bulk 1 gallon reclaimed oil
from the local jiffy lubers) and anyway, sorry to get off track, but because the p.o.s (pardon my french) civic boiled over and needs a lot of oil I didn’t(couldn’t) buy the norton and now my computer crashes a lot and is really slow (sometimes it takes 2 or 3 minutes for a screen to change views on a web site, I can’t really go to cryptogaurdian to get the free password and I SPENT 4 Days downloading a movie I really want to watch.

Randy said that maybe I needed something called a Kodak (a free program that makes the player show different movies) so maybe that is it.

There is no box or anything to type one in ( I am using Windows media player 9). Would another player have a password box?( It would have to be a free player, they cut my hours at my work at the burger house and I still have to get the civic radiator fixed, ( I get about 15 miles before I got to add water, I got about 10 plastic milk jugs in the back seat and water is cheaper than a used radiator at the U-pull-it. The real bad part is when it might freeze out and I have to drain the radiator at night and fill it up in the morning, can’t afford anti freeze)

Anyway, sorry to get off track again, it is a bad habit that I am continually working on, I wish I had a nickle for everytime somebody told me that,

I tried to play a video that I downloaded, and it said, enter a password. If you don’t have one, go to http://www.cryptoguardian.com to get one. At that site, it says cryptoguardian is freeware, and tells you where to get a password, but not how to enter it. When I play the video, there is no password box or anything, just a 4 min video saying to enter the password. The video I downloaded is full dvd size, so where is the rest of the video? What is cryptoguardian? How do I enter the password? I spent all night downloading the video and am now stuck trying to watch it.

Before you download, if possible, check out the datarate of the file. It should be low. Like between 5 and 500kbps. The datarate of this shit one i downloaded thanks to cryptoguardian was at 28000kbps. Hopefully this will help you stop downloading this pricks dodgy movies. As “The Smart One” said it’s basically a very high definition commercial. I guess it’s just one of the downsides to downloading things illegally. It’s probably easier to wait till it comes out on DVD. Hire it from the DVD store for a few dollars, rip it, return the DVD.

I started downloading the file before i went to bed.
When I awoke the next day I went to work.
When I returned from work it had finished downloading.
When I opened the video I started IE and typed the web address into Google.
I clicked through to this link.
I laughed.
I read every post - I mean this stuff is FUNNY!
The funniest thing is:
I spent 2 mins downloading and adding the torrent.
I spent no time waiting for it to download.
I spent 2 mins opening the video and finding out it was a scam.
But I spent at least half an hour reading all these posts and laughing.

I need a life…
