i have vista and really i can’t see anything wrong with it.
ok i think i got it now, people dont like it because they try to upgrade to a vista, and it takes up to much space, well i bought a brand new sony vaio laptop that came with vista so thats why i like it, nothing at all is wrong with mine. it has 2gb RAM.

Most people fear change, which is most likely the #1 reason. There’s valid concerns, especially those who have older computers that can’t take the additional hardware requirements, but newer computers designed for Vista shouldn’t be a problem.

I have no idea. I’ve been running it ever since it first was offered by Microsoft, and I have not had one single problem with it. I find it to much faster then XP, and way more stable.

they are just jealous that it is faster, and safer then xp

The problem with windows is that it takes a bit to get through the problems. Every OS MS has put out has this issues. When XP first came out people who were on windows 2000 hated XP, myself included. But once SP2 for XP came out, it cleared up a bunch of issues.
With VIsta, SP1 has not really cleared out some of the problems, I suspect sp2, if it comes will help Vista.
Now the only problem with that is, Windows 11 or whatever it’s called is due in 2010 or 2011… So why even wait to SP2??

It’s the compatibility issues of Vista. Some people don’t notice anything wrong, but those people don’t know enough to know what is wrong. Older programs, games, and software just has numerous bug problems, crashing, and what Vista really is known for: The worst operating system with the BSOD (Blue screen of death).
People say, Vista is faster, but the fact is no, speed tests prove vista can be 90-100% slower than xp. However now we have faster processors, so it looks like xp might be slower, but in fact it still isn’t! There’s a lot more to it, but people don’t get the whole scoop about how bad Vista really is.

I love it! it looks different and people really dont like change. i’m not gonna lie, you do have to get use to it, but its not that major, like a day or so! =)

Using Vista means hardware upgrades.
If you are buying a computer new these days, the pain is lessened slightly, as most new computers come with Vista.
However, the fact that the Operating system treats users like they are idiots, especially considering how it creates the illusion of security rather than actually being more secure… is just another big disappointment. Tack on to that the need for at least a gig of RAM to get any kind of worthwhile performance out of it…
Let’s look at this from another angle. Do you use your computer so you can play with the Operating System? No. You use your computer so you can surf the net, or listen to music, or watch movies, or play games. So why does your operating system need a bare minimum of 512mb of Ram to operate, and 1gb or Ram to operate comfortably? This is not addressing the programs you want to use… this is just the Operating System itself… this is just the system that lets you USE your web browser, or music program, or DVD player.
Vista is a waste of resources. The fact that the same exact computer will operate better with the previous Operating System is proof of that. Sure, XP doesn’t look as PRETTY as Vista… but WTF? When was Pretty more important than Functionality regarding computers?

I have been using Windows XP SP2 since the week it was released (yes, 2, not 3) and I had absolutely no problem. I recently “upgraded” to vista ultimate with sp1 with my new computer and it is constantly crashing. Never while I’m at the computer, but overnight while it is idle. This is one reason I dislike vista.

The learning curve you need to figure out where everything is and how to get to things. I lost over 1.5 GB of files in a folder and can’t even locate it, even with the search. I understand that Mojave is actually Vista and has been a redesign that is better than the original Vista.
