This question has probably been asked many times before, but I really need to know. I have been content using Cyber Defender, but this software has recently required users to register before deleting any harmful spyware or viruses on a computer. So now I am looking for a good free software that is both easy to use and will get rid of viruses and spyware.
I did try downloading AVG, but the download took too long and I just gave up on it. Is AVG worth the wait? Please recommend any other software.

It really depends on what operating system you have. So it is better to try the free ones available and choose the one that suits you best. Spyware Doctor is one of the best Anti Spyware programs. Kaspersky NOD32 and Bitdefender are some of the best Anti Virus programs there are. You can get all these programs with Anti Spyware as well.
