I have Windows XP SP3 on a Dell Dimenson 8300 2.6 Pentium 4 HT with 256 ram (I will upgrade my RAM shortly). I have dial-up internet to update it. I also want it to be easy on resources, free or not.
Thanks in advance.

lol not Norton. Norton is a good antivirus but it takes up all the resources =|
Well, if your looking for one that is easy on resources i'd say AVG

Oh definitely, ESET's NOD32 program is the ultimate beast in antivirus protection, in my personal opinion. Easy on resources. Go try out their Security Suite (gives you Antivirus Protection & Spyware Protection), you can try the product in full function free for 1 month. You simply cannot go wrong here. The price is not bad either, if you should decide on purchasing it.
By the way, i would definitely stay away from Norton ;D
Their program is difficult with system resources.
