what is the best? Eset, Kaspersky or Avira? and why?

  kaspersky, because it can detect and remove most viruses than eset and avira.

  but the best is bitdefender.

  its between eset nod 32 and kaspersky
  eset has the best heuristic technology whilst kaspersky has all round very good specs and update every hour which is good
  it kinda comes down to the small things between the two but just see which you can pick up for the cheapest i think
  avira is free and likely one of the best free anti-virus around but i dont think it can come near any of the above for quality

  I'd vote avira. I've never use the other two, but avira always comes out top in the http://av-comparatives.org/comparativesreviews tests (although its score is reduced by false positives). As long as you think you can identify false positives, Avira seems best.

  Mcafee is better than all

  if we update it every 3 days it will be good if u will forget it will b bad
  in KASPERSKY we should always give command to delete or disinfect
  but in MCAFEE except TROJAN it will disinfect all.

  If you look in the AV-Comparitives ratings, Kaspersky and EST are better than Avira. Avira is notorious for false positives. I vote for Kaspersky myself.

  Anoopk - True that Kaspersky automatically disinfect or delete but it create a backup copy in which you can restore or treat it later. I know because I got KIS 2009.
