I have Western Digital My Book Essential 2.0
external hard drive for data backup.
At the moment i am using Memeo Autobackup, but it works
slowly and along with backup files creates .dcm extention
files which contain information about backed-up file for
periodic syncronization in my opinion.
But in order to boot from external backup drive i will have to
move backup to the top level of external hard drive, because
Memeo Autobackup initially doesn't create backup there.
And did i mention that Memeo Autobackup has 30-day trial limit?
Additionally i have heard of the following softwares:
1) Cobian Backup
2) SyncToy
3) Acronis True Image
Which of the above softwares will work faster and let me
backup data so i will be able to boot from external hard
drive in case of emergency?

This is one of the best…
It has different ways of making this backup….like it can actually zip your folders with their respective files - that means you can use any unzip software to get files out of the backup system.
I love that feature!
