WPA2 is the most secure that is built into the most devices, and anything fairly recent should support it

Assuming your hardware is modern, the encryption you use won’t affect your transmission rate as the hardware should be faster than your Internet connection. I usually recommend WPA-PSK

Use either WPA or WPA2. If your router has the option, choose WPA2 Enterprise. WEP sucks and you can crack it in less than a minute.
