norton isn’t that great. it’s overrated completely. for viruses, get avast. i have it and i downloaded it. just search it and go! it’s free so you save tons of money. plus, it’s a great program.

Norton is the worst anti-virus product ever made. Norton acts more like a virus and entrenches itself deep into your system. The software will do more harm to your PC than good and when you to to remove it, it leaves behind over 375 traces in your registry files/folders and subsystem. You have to download their removal tool just to get it off of your system. You are much better off with a free anti-virus product.
NOD32 and Kaspersky are the best anti-virus applications and much better than the best sellers Norton and McAfee (recent tests at av-comparatives.org). If you want a free anti-virus, AVG, Avast! or AntiVir all are better than Norton (install only 1).

Norton is such a resource hog and I can’t suggest you go with any of them. Go with Avast Antivirus. It’s free for home use and is totally unobtrusive.
Did I mention that it’s free for home users? No sense in not trying it, anyway.

The best version of Norton Anti-virus is Norton 360 it includes everything. if you want to save money stick with AVG. They are actually comparable, but 360 offers some features avg doesn’t

Ive heard that Windows XP users have had to delete Norton Antivirus 2008 software, but Im using Windows Vista and Ive had no problem with it. The Norton 360 I would say would be the best cuz its more of All in One protection(including Identity protection). Id go with that personally. It all depends on what type of computer you have. 360 has best protection for most types of computers. Hope this helps! Good luck!
