What is the best spyware protection program?

just got my new computer and it's already showing the signs of a spyware infestation. And since it cost me a lot of money i have no limits on how much money it costs but i would prefer free. Any help? And i would like your opinions on virus scan / malware protection / and anything else that will help me protect my new $3,000 computer. Thank you in advance,

hi,i thinnk you have better to go 4 spyware doctor .it is a free ware.it can be easily downloaded from download.com.
You just go to download.com and make a search there for this program.then it will sow the result.All the freeware and trial vertions are available there.So if you are not interested in spywaredoctor the you can easily go for another.
