I would advise you to download a anti-virus, although web based scanners can be useful, occasionally a cracker will put some malicious code in a web based scanner which will infect the the computer that is being scanned, and you will have a hard time getting you're computer back to normal, (it happened to me once, imagine my shock when Ad-Aware tells me that I have FOUR Trojans and 371 tracking cookie's, after that I've been telling people to stay away from them. ) since you already have protection I would like to recommend a few Downloadable Anti viruses that I personally use, to bolster your existing protection, I can also almost guarantee that your system performance will increase noticeably, (the almost means that if you notice no change your Computer is very clean).

1 Ad-Aware 2008, its free and pretty effective, and simple.

2 Spybot - Search & Destroy, its a little out of date but it works.
      http://www.download.com/Spybot-Search-Destroy/3000-8022_4-10122137.html?hhTest=1

3 SpywareBlaster, blocks potentially damaging applications and programs from running.

4 Simple File Shredder, it isn't an anti spy, but it shreds unnecessary files including cookies and it speeds up system performance.

5 MRU-Blaster, detects and cleans MRU (most recently used) lists on your computer. By looking at these MRU lists, someone could determine what files you opened/saved/looked at, what their file names were, and much more! (And, in many cases, the lists are displayed in drop-down menus automatically.) (From website.)

I personally don't like AVG, it screwed up my computer after I Un-Installed it, and avast didn't work for me.

Online scanners are iffy… They can work, but…… The best scanners are those that can scan from a boot disk, like Mcafee Command line scanner. It is a bit bulky, but when you scan from a boot disk, the viruses have very little places to hide. (unless you encrypt or password protect your drives, ???)

      Good free ones:
      General viruses - Ad-Aware

      Spyware, Niche Viruses - Spybot

      Anti-Virus protection - AVG

      All Free, all very good.
