If you want your system to run faster, ditch the trend micro and get NOD32 from http://www.eset.com (you even do a 30 day free trial.)
(And I own several hundred shares of Trend Micro…)

Yes you should Get Nod32. NOD32 has a better scanning and removal ability. It also has a very little memory footprint.
