Whats the best video format/codec to use in powerpoint for both PC and a Mac?

September 30th, 2008 · 1 Comment

For a Powerpoint presentation that includes two 60 second 640×480 video clips.. Need help with video formats please.

Should I use .avi? Will it play on a mac? If so with which codec? (i need it to play on a few other machines so it needs to be a standard codec)

If not whats best to use for a mac? (im used to PCs)

NB: I use sony vegas 7, and after effects - am experienced with video formats, just not powerpoint
