When clicks on a html link, it default to firefox to open the application.?

July 23rd, 2008 · 1 Comment

After I installed the Firefox, every time I click on a link, it open the application using Firefox instead of IE7. Unable to find an option in Firefox to change it back using IE7. Does anyone know how to set it back to IE?Thanks.

When you installed FF, it was probably set or asked to be the default browser.
In IE7, on upper toolbar, click Tools. Then click Internet Options, then Programs and look down toward the middle of the page.
You will see Default Web Browser and a Make Default button. Click that button. Put a checkmark next to the "Tell me if Internet Explorer is not the default browser". That will watch for any changes.
      Hope that helps.
If it doesn't stay, the location in Firefox is Toolbar, Tools, Options, Advanced, General or Main / System Defaults. Here you will uncheck making Firefox default browser.
