When I click on Fire fox it says xul.dll is not a valid windows image!?

Firefox was working but then it said something about an update, so it autimatically updated but when I double clicked the icon it came up with an error message saying:

"The application or DLL C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\xul.dll is not a valid wondows image. Please check this against your installation setup"

But I downloaded this from the internet!

the installation didnt take properly which is comone with windows if u just download and reinstall that will fix the problem
