I use the Yahoo Toolbar to search & I used to also have the McAfee Site Advisor. I installed the Comodo Firewall & then all of a sudden the McAfee Site Advisor stopped working, I uninstalled it & reinstalled the McAfee Site Advisor & it said it was corrupted, so I uninstalled it & thought the McAfee Search Scan that comes with the Yahoo Toolbar would work, but whenever I do a search I see these gray question marks pop up & then disappear before my eyes. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling the Yahoo toolbar, too, but it is still happening. It seems to be a problem with the Yahoo toolbar or McAfee Site Advisor because if I use the google toolbar to do a search the AVG security shows potential threats. I also have the Spyware Blaster which found 10,724 spyware items around the same time. Unfortunately, I have let my neighbors use my computer & now regret it. I have AT&T DSL with a built in modem & someone was using my wireless connection. My computer had a virus & I had just got my computer back on 7-3-08. If they cleaned the hard drive shouldn’t have all the spyware been removed? I have no idea if any of these things are related, but it is really frustrating. PLEASE HELP…

It sounds like all that stuff you have installed is conflictinf with each other. Pick the ones that you really need and uninstall the rest and se what happens. It doesnt sound like spyware.
