On it, it says
'Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.'
If i click either Send error report or Dont send error report, all my desktop icons disappear and so does the toolbar at the bottom.
Any answers?

WELL STICK TO DON'T SEND REPORT BECAUSE IT DOES THAT TO ME TO AND THAT'S WHAT I DO, SO MY ADVICE IS CLICK DON'T SEND.

You may need to reinstall windows. Windows explorer is part of the core of windows and is what allows you to see the desktop and icons. Hope you have a windows cd.

either the explorer.exe file should be missing or would have got corrupted!!!
it's better to reinstall windows….
