I am usually open yahoo, gmail and mails from Internet explorer, suddenly one day I opened my yahoo account with mozilla firefox browser. I am surprise to note that my pc screen shows you are entering into the encrypted page. My message that is username and password easily read by others. And another thing I noticed above the start toolbar, when I click "mail" button from the yahoo.com, the data transfer from akamai.net like that then I see the yahoo page with username and password space. I suspect I am not safe with mozilla firefox to open all e-mail ids. What is your opinion in this regard. If you also facing the same difficulties then you please share with us. What is the permanent solution for this.

That is just a warning from firefox alerting you to the fact that the email website is encrypted. This is a good thing, it means all the data your computer sends to that particular website is encrypted. Internet Explorer will also inform you of the same information, but someone has likely selected "Do not show this warning again"
Firefox is as safe or more safe than Internet Explorer, and you do not need to worry when using it.

I agree with elf.
As for the akamai.net thing, Yahoo has a partnership with Akamai so it's normal to see the transfers to/from akamai.net when you're browsing Yahoo web sites.
