I just got a new computer, And i don't want to use it unless i can get Virus protection from Att for free. And i dont feel like paying more money for the protection while i can just get it free.
I know Att has the free download cause i have it on this computer.
Can someone Direct me or simply give me the link?
Sorry if i used the wrong forum thing. Thought this one would be the best.
Thanks ![]()

Don't get Norton, it is too bloated - it will hog your computers resourses.
Instead get Avast! Home Edition 4.8 Free
http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
You can get the Professional for 60 days, then it downgrades to the Home Edition - choice is yours.
Once again, you can check the AV Comparatives at
http://www.av-comparatives.org/
Then click on Comparatives
You can also get Javacools SpywareBlaster 4.0, this will prevent most malware from getting onto your computer:

Don't be so bothered about viruses…they don't just walk in! You have firewalls to block them. But yeah you still need Anti-Virus and Anti-Spyware programs on your PC, download AVG 8.00.100 and Spybot - S&D, that should keep your computer cleaner.

As a Professional IT Consultant…
Norton is terrible. Norton should be the definition of bloat. I don't use or recommend Norton anymore, for just this reason.
Will slow down your PC to much.
Security is a three tier affair, one firewall, one anti-virus and as much adware/spyware removal software as you feel needed?
There are many commercial anti-virus programs on the market or you may choose to use one of the free anti-virus programs which are available. It does not matter which you choose as long as you have a current anti-virus and either get daily updates or set it to get automatic updates.
I'm a AVG fan because it just works, is fairly light on resources… http://free.grisoft.com/
For stubborn spyware or malware I recommend…
Spyware Doctor Starter Edition http://www.pctools.com/spyware-doctor/google_pack/ works side-by-side with.. ThreatFire. http://www.threatfire.com/download/
Along with this… (But if you have windows firewall) You must disable it. Windows firewall works OK if you want to use it instead.
Comodo Firewall Pro - For XP and Vista keeps hackers out of your system and all types of malware. http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/download_firewall.html
Good Luck!!!
