Where can I find reliable alternatives to Norton anitvirus for free?

  Try Grisoft AVG Anti-Virus (Free Edition).

  I use the enterprise network version of the Anti-Malware product at work and found it works quite well.

  Maybe on Limewire or Bearshare Lite…Not Sure though

  Avast is the nearest freebie you'll get to Norton. The others have serious omissions in what they protect you from. Check-out what you get:
