I bought 32-bit vista home premium retail a while back, but now I want to install 64-it. Of course, lame Microsoft didn’t include it on the disk and I have to order it and pay shipping and handling according to their website. Is there anywhere I can just download it? I paid $170 for the license, why should I have to wait a week to get it in the mail?
Some of you need to learn how to read. The Vista license is for both 32-bit and 64-bit, but Microsoft just decided not to include the 64-bit version on the DVD in the box for whatever reason. You can order it online from them, but you have to pay S&H, and wait for it to arrive.
Since I own the license it doesn't matter from what source I acquire the media from, so I want to just go ahead and download it instead of waiting a week for it in the mail.
Vista really isn't 64-bit, so much as 64-bit emulation. Unless you're running some REALLY old programs, it's great.

32bit and 64bit windows usually come on the same disc. When you install vista, it asks you whether you want to isntall x86(32 bit) or x64(64 bit).

does your computer even take 64-bit? You know there isnt much to do on a 64-bit? Much of the programs are not compatible with it, but you made your choice anyways….
Try Mininova.com, its a torrent site, sometimes they have clean ISOs of Windows Programs

No, you can’t just download it, if anything try to get a refund from Microsoft & then buy the 64 bit version.
But to tell you the truth no one can really unlock the 64 Bit Vista’s true power yet, computers can do it but it’s nothing extremely different than just have the 32 Bit version.

You shouldn’t have bought the 32-bit version in the first place if you wanted 64-bit and there’s really no reason right now to use 64-bit unless you want to get over the memory limitation almost every program will be 32-bit only anyway.
