Nah dont get Mcafee. NOD32 uses the least resources and has the best protection ever. But since NOD32 is kinda hard to get, I would suggest AVG since it's free and also doesn't slow your computer down. (It's one of the most downloaded antivirus software programs on http://www.download.com)
