Norton is the best Anti-Virus in the world. Webroot I’ve never heard of. AVG is good for only people who can’t get their hands on a good AV

I’d avoid both and I’ve listed some recommendations below for you. These are what I use and I’ve never been infected in years.
I always recommend the following be stored on computers and install them myself on any I repair.
Avast Home Edition http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html
Run a full scan once a month. I find this the best free anti-virus software
SUPERantispyware Free Edition http://superantispyware.com
Update and run a full scan once a week.
Spybot Search and Destroy http://safer-networking.org
Update, Immunize and scan once a week.
ccleaner http://ccleaner.com
Run the Cleaner scan and remove all it finds
Run the Registry scan and fix all issues but repeat this until nothing is detected.
Run this daily.
Comodo Firewall http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
Some people just prefer the Windows one but this is better.
Check that you don’t need to defragment monthly and also run a Disk Cleanup monthly too.
A good program for removing programs that seem to refuse to go no matter what you do is http://www.revouninstaller.com/index.htm… however be careful how you use this.
Feel free to email me if I can be of further help

Ditch norton and download three good freebies….
avast for antivirus
spybot search and destroy version 1.6
spyware blaster
norton really slows your computer down… and why pay for something when it is free.

Most malwares are designed to attack popular
antivirus products (like Symantec, Norton), but since free anti-virus product is much less used, it’s capable of fighting the viruses when industry leaders fail.
According to an article by the Washington Post,
Norton Antivirus had one of the worst average response times
for providing virus definition updates based on the worst virus outbreaks,
lagging behind every major competitor, including NOD32, Kaspersky,
Quick Heal, F-Secure, Sophos, Avira, Trend Micro, F-Prot, Panda, Protector Plus, AVG, avast!, ClamWin, and McAfee.[6]
Symantec/Norton Live update are responsible for BSOD ( Blue Screen Of Death )
for millions of PC in China

I would suggest that you get Avast Home Edition version 4. It now protects against spyware, rootkits,
and other forms of nonvirus malicious software. Best of all, it’s free for personal use.
Avast is a very effective and free anti-virus program because it can do
a boot time scan in safe mode and it will remove the entire virus on your PC.
Even those viruses that hide inside the system restore folder.
Windows utilize a restore utility that backs up selected files
automatically to the System volume information /System Restore folder.
This means that an infected file could be stored there as a backup file,
and most anti-virus programs will be unable to delete these files. You
must disable the System Restore Utility to remove the infected files
from the folder if you use another brand of anti-virus. However, you do
not need to do so if you use Avast to do a boot up scan in safe mode.
