      i use McAfee.
you can download free McAfee Site Advisor.
I use it to determine how safe the sites are.
      I like it.

I do not however like Norton.

The best ones out there are ones that don’t use too much resources. I like Avast or AVG, which are free. Your best line of defense is you. Log in a limited user when you’re on the web, don’t download programs off of limewire, and don’t click on links in your email. Another great program I use is Mcafee site advisor. http://www.siteadvisor.com/
it is a browser add-on for both IE7 and Firefox that will tell you if you are clicking on a malicious site. This helps keep you from getting infected in the first place.

use Norton Internet Security Software. I.ve been suing it for almost 3 years. No problems.

There is never really a best one as each is good for one thing and others for others. I like either Kaspersky or NOD32.

Here is a link to my site. Go to the home page and click program reviews. There you will find a whole list of different antivirus i have reviewed with the download links.

      From there you can choose

The best ones are probably the free ones. Whilst Norton and McAffee are very good, they cost money, slow down the speed of your PC significantly and are not exactly more effective than certain free offerings. I would recommend Avast or AVG, both are totally free and just require you to register on their site, which takes about 2 minutes at the maximum. Neither hog the systems resources (like the others do) and they are both very effective. Here are links to both of them:

      Avast - http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html
Make sure you also click on “Free Registration” on that page; fill out the form and they will send you a key in your email, which you type into the program once it has been installed.

      AVG - http://free.avg.com/
I have not used this one as much as avast, but I know that it is a very good Anti-virus software, and have heard many good things about it.

If you also need a firewall (which neither of these come with) i would recommend Zone Alarm, which is also free and very good:
      http://www.zonealarm.com/security/en-us/zonealarm-pc-security-free-firewall.htm

One of those Anti-Virus programs with that firewall create a very effective system of protection that is just as good as those which you will have to pay for otherwise.

      Good Luck
