Which version of Avast! should I download?

August 15th, 2008 · 3 Comments

I have Windows Vista Home Premium..I’m running on a laptop if that matters.

My sister & my brother’s computers all had viruses the same week.. and they had to reboot.

I barely download anything or accept anything on msn, so I didn’t think I’d need one.

I heard Avast! is a good antivirus program, so which one do I have to download if I have Vista?

Unless you have Linux or Mac, don't worry about the other versions besides Home and Pro.

Pro will only give you a trial for 45 days.

Home Edition is free forever, but you have to update yourself, pro will do that automatically.

You'll have to register after 45 days of using Avast Home Edition (Just give your email) and it stays free.

I use ESET Smart Security, $60 for 2 years and well worth it. It will cover you for everything. I did my research for this.
