I think both are great actors, but overall i think Edward Norton is better.
Edward Norton in my opinion can play any role. He was amazing in Primal Fear and Fight Club. And also in many others.
Robert Downey Jr. Has had trouble over the years. He has had problems with alcohol and drug abuse. But I thought he was brillient in both Zodiac and Iron Man.
Tell me what you guys think, because Edward Norton is playing the Hulk, and RDJ is Iron Man

Edward Norton. Definitely.
Although, I am waiting to see RDJr in Iron Man. He has always been one of those actors that can play a wide variety of roles, but they all seem similar. Sort of like Keeanu Reeves. No matter what he does, you still cant help but think of Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. lol

Ed Norton is talented - blew me away in Primal Fear, but if you look closely his characters are very much alike. I don't really think he displays the range of a truly great actor. Too bad, I think it's there - he just hasn't shown it.
Iron Man rocks - I understand RDJr ad libbed many of his lines, which I think makes the role truly his own.

Ed Norton. His accent in The Illusionist was crap, but Fight Club and Primal Fear made up for it.
Robert Downey Jr. was great in Iron man and Zodiac, but overall… He's not too great.
Ed Norton will make a great Bruce Banner.

Both great when they're on form, difference is, norton always is. Plays lead in what IMO is the greatest film bar none, american history x.
The guy can play a geek/nerd, a head case or a double hard ba*ard and pull them all off perfectly. Probably the best (relatively) young actor in the world. Genius
That said, not over enthusiastic about the hulk(probably due to its last outing) and the trailers for ironman look stunning.

First of all I love both of these actors, and think they steeal the show in just about anything they act in. I like Downley a little more though. The most recent of his movies, Ironman, is an excelent example of his capabilities. In my oppinion, he is what separated that movie from others in the genre and made it great. I think he is able to take many of his own personal demons and problems and channel those into his roles which lend for some great performances. In all fairness though, norton did do an excelent job in fight club and the italian job.

Edward Norton is an amazing actor, he was incredible in Primal Fear. I just love watching him, he changes with every role and actually takes on the character's personality.
Robert Downey Jr. is a great actor as well, but he doesn't compare next to Norton.
