September 9th, 2008 · 2 Comments

I am trying to play games on pogo but keep gettin this message, when I was using java 5.0 update 6 it was working fine. I have updated my java and now it dont work? I am now using java 6 update 7.

Does anyone know how to resolve this, if not does anyone know where I can redowlnoad the java 5.0 update 6 from as I deleted this from my PC hoping that was the cause.

I have searched and searched for the same problems in forums and tried several different things to try and resolve this.
When I try testing java from this link I get “java runtime enviroment cannont be loaded
http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/ea.jsp

I have tried typing in a code into java but still no joy.

PLEASE HELP

Problems can occur if you are running more than one version of Java as they can cause conflicts with each other. Furthermore, Java has a nasty habit of not removing older versions when updating to the newest so you have to uninstall old versions manually.

Assuming that you are in the Administrator account, go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and uninstall everything that says J2SE, Java and Java Runtime. Reboot (some computers require a reboot to complete the uninstall process). Then go to the site below and download the most recent version of Java.

Go to Control Panel > Add Remove Programs and remove all older Java versions. If that does not work then try the info or contact us at http://help.pogo.com
