I have a Lite-On SOHW-832S with the latest firmware, version VS0M. I am running on Windows XP Sp3. And I am using Memorex DVD+R 8x dual-layer DVDs for my burns. And I am using Nero 6.6.1.5. to burn the DL DVDs. I am burning them at 2.4x. Either this old version of Nero sucks, or the Memorex DL DVDs suck. My first two DL burns have had multiple CRC errors on them. Can somebody give me any tips that might lead to a success?

1) Memorex is mediocre at best. Download DVDIdentifier to see who actually made the disc and then look that company up.
2) Error rates are always going to be higher on the second layer. Poorly made discs may make the second layer totally unusable.
