I have a dell inspiron 1720 i got at christmas time this past year. I immediatley took vista home premium off and installed a copy of xp. It worked great but i finally for my hands on vista corp and ultimate, but i cannot get them to install on here again, i know its not a problem with any of the dvds for installing, because my ultimate, corp, nor my disc from dell will install. It kepps getting hung up at the completing installation part.
Ive done a complete formatt, etc on it. Yeah, my versions of windows are modded and hacked, but ive never had any problem out of them, i like the modded versions because alot of the unnecessary junk is taken out that slows them down. Im very happy with my xp right now, but just a little irritated with not being ab le to at least try vista ultimate or corp. I mean even if there was a bug in my xp, a complete low level format should be fine and allow me to install vista. Ive used my dell disc that was xp and it gave me no trouble installing, so im in the dark as to why two vistas (corp and ultimate both 32 bit) and my vista home premium 32 bit wont install. Thanks for any help

People who don't like VISTA don't know what they are talking about. The are too laz to try it or listen to some other person who is too lazy to learn it, Actually I noticed little differece from XP when I got my first VISTA computer last year.
You shoukldl have no trouble reinstalling VISTA. Just format the drive and pop the disk in and restart and follow the instructions.
PS Back up and files you want to save first.
