why can my games install in vista laptop…?

i got a new laptop..
spec :-
asus f5series
core 2 duo
window vista home premium
250 gb hdd (still alot left not full yet)
2gb ddr2
core 2 duo T570
ati radeon hd 3470 vram 256 mb

i can install it in windows xp(desktop) with 256 mb graphic card as well but when i install it in the laptop with the spec above it can’t install
it comes out with error half way through the installation process.
games that can’t work
call of duty 2 (old not 4)
c&c tiberium wars
c&c kane’sWrath
need for speed Carbon
crysis
rainbow vegas 2

the cd works in xp it can be played without problem…
so why can’t it wok in vista..

Because Vista has a different graphics subsystem in it that makes it incompatible to many games without patches.
