Why can’t I update Trend Micro Anti-virus plus Anti-Spyware?

When I try to update Trend Micro Anti-virus plus Anti-Spyware 2009 I receive an error message that says: "Manages all components of Trend MIcro Internet Security has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. <debug> <send error report> <don’t send>"
