When booting up my laptop, I always have to go to the “Network & Sharing” settings to enable my firewall. After a while, (times vary) I notice it has been turned off and the “file sharing”, “network discovery” settings, etc… will be turned back ON.
Any suggestions on how to keep this from happening, and also, how do I keep from having to turn my firewall ON every time I boot up?
The “recommended” settings in Windows firewall allows for network discovery, file sharing, etc… I shouldn’t have that enabled should I? I mean, for the best security?

Its seems that there is a malicious program running in the background that’s causing the scenario mentioned in your query.Would first recommend to go to the site listed below:-
http://www.housecall.trendmicro.com
Here you should be able to get rid of the virus/spyware that’s causing it(Free). Then If you are not using Antivirus/Antispyware program, then would recommend to download this free Antivirus program which is quite good:-
