Today i had a message telling me my firewall is off and i never turned it off. The security centre says sorry we cant turn firewall on to do it yourself please go to control panel which when i go to firewall there i get a message saying “windows firewall cannot be displayed because the associated task is not running , do you want to start the windows firewall/internet connection service (ICS)“ which i tryed yes but it says it cannot start, so how do i solve thos problem ? just wanna turn my firewall on which of course i didnt turn off either way.

Check whether you have windows XP service pack 2. even though it has it has to be patched so that it is updated to the service pack 2.

your firewall maybe expired or you do not update your firewall.

This sounds like you have spyware or malware already.
Download SpyBot search and Destroy.

It will attempt to turn security back on and try to remove the program that is turning off.
