Okay, so i'm using canadian shaw highspeed connection. Never lag, or freeze, well I freeze more often then I lag, but it's very very rare. My computer is generally really fast. The only thing that's slow is my youtube loading videos and downloading. My friend's computer uses same internet provider as I am using, her computer - loads pages very slow, but doesn't even have to wait for youtube loads. Once she downloaded a game, it took her about 20-30 minutes, when it took me 6 hours. But her computer loads slow as heck! why is this? I will keep refreshing the page nd post information if asked!

check your firewall settings as well as anti virus both of those will slow your download also when she goes on you tube she might be on another server with less traffic

It could have to do with a network card. Also, consider the following:
If you are using a router or wireless connection, you will go slower than if you were using a direct connection.
If you are running on Internet Explorer, this may be the problem. Internet Explorer doesn't support all ActiveX tools. I recommend Mozilla Firefox.

Make sure you have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player installed, since, Youtube videos are flash players which load videos with a codec.

Maybe it is just your youtube page. i would contact your internet provider.

You seem to be drawing a parallel between your speedy PC and your internet connection. These aren't really inter-related. Your friend may have a better (speedier/less noisy) internet connection than you, making downloads quicker, regardless of her PC's lack of muscle. If your machine is fast, but slow at downloading, check your internet speed by performing a speed check. There are a few about on the net, such as "BroadbandChecker.co.uk":
