Whenever I try to open Firefox, it doesn't do anything. It just stands there. I don't know why because it just started today after installing the new AOL Toolbar update. However, when I look in the task manager>Processes, Firefox is "active". I have tried re-installing and rebooting my computer, but these methods don't seem to have an effect on it. I even tried getting rid of my Firefox profile and it still didn't work. Could someone offer some advice? Help would be appreciated.

Try running firefox in safe mode. Please note that this is not the same as running Windows in safe mode. You can find instructions for doing this here:
http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If it works in safe mode, it's likely that an extension you have installed is causing it to break. You'll be able to disable your extensions from there, then you can start firefox normally and see if it works.
If it doesn't work in safe mode, then something else is wrong with your computer, and I don't really know how to help you.

Firefox is waiting for the toolbar to load.
Easiest test for this is start Firefox (not Windows) in Safe Mode, and disable the toolbar. This is done by:
Click on "Tools"
Click on "Add-ons"
Locate the toolbar in the list and click on "Disable"
Exit Firefox and then restart it normally.
If this works, you can either leave things as is or uninstall the toolbar at Tools->Add-ons and click on the toolbar's "Uninstall" button.
If this does not work, the toolbar has corrupted Firefox, and the Toolbar will have to be Uninstalled and Firefox will have to be reinstalled from a fresh download from mozilla.com.
