Why doesn’t the Avast Virus Chest won’t let me put viruses in there?

After I scan with Avast, its shows the scan results and when i choose to put the file/virus in the virus chest it would say ‘Virus chest server is not running. RPC communication failed.’ …
So how do I fix this problem? Or… do I delete the file/virus instead?
Well, I'm not trying to save the virus, I'm just putting it in the Virus Chest except, it won't let me

Why are you trying to keep the virus? Do you plan to send it to someone for study? If not, then it’s taking up space on your hard drive…
