When i purchase my laptop it has some pre installed software and one is Norton Internet Security 2007 trial version (for 3 months). I decided to remove it and use Avast home 4.8 free edition. I noticed that any file attached in yahoo mail scans with Norton AV instead of Avast. What must i do? Anyone, please help.

The Yahoo Server uses Norton to scan all your attachments before they are downloaded to your computer..so Norton is not on your computer

Yahoo mail is webmail. Yahoo scans all attachments with Norton at the server level on Yahoo's own servers.
Avast will scan it again as soon as the attachment hits your hard drive without any notice, just as it scans everything on any webpage.
In short your mail gets virus scaned twice. Your e mail is well protected.
