Why has AT&T gone to McAfee for internet security?

November 27th, 2008 · 3 Comments

I went to download Norton to protect a new computer and McAfee was there instead.

I would say cost. McAfee is not as good as Norton. As long as you have good computer practices you should be ok with Mcafee. I would add SuperAntiSpyware free. Just in case. You can use it once a week. Just to double check.

There or 4 or 5 reasonable ones. I agree with what ED said here, Mcafee is ok, Norton would be better but I am sure it’s a cost thing and McAfee gave them a deal. That’s what usually happens. ATT here in the SF bay area was using Norton a while back, haven’t looked lately. But I am sure it has to do with price and little else.
