how come trojan condoms are advertised way more, are talked about way more, and are just seem like the #1 condom when in fact Durex was rated number one by consumer reports.
See the test here:

which is really the #1 condom!?

I think there are more advertisements for Trojans because they charge more money for there product, so they have more income to spend on advertising?

Doesn't matter if they're good or not…if they're willing to spend the money on advertising people will always remember that and go with what they see on ads. Like politicians who put their signs around neighborhoods and basically everywhere…when it comes time for voting some people will vote for who they've seen advertised everywhere…they'll assume they're good.

It's just like how some mp3s are better than iPods, just the advertising makes it popular and the name that everyone wants to have the brand for.

Because the concept is funny! Marketing is a great thing.

because when you think of the name Trojan it just sounds tougher and harder to penetrate that Durex. I buy Trojan condoms because I just prefer them over the Durex in feel and texture. The Durex have a horrible smell to them when you open the individual condom package. Plus I tend to get a small rash from them.
Best of luck to you!

In my opinion Durex are more comfortable. Trojans were bulky, irritating and had a strong latex smell to me. Durex offers a thinner condom with a low latex scent. It's just what everybody else has said marketing. If you went to 100 people I bet every one of them would know what you meant if you said "Do you use Trojans?" but if you said "Do you use Durex?" Half of them would probably think you meant a laundry detergent. The Trojan brand just puts itself out there more as far as advertising is concerned.
