i have a dell xps 410 that is less than 2 years old and a couple of months ago internet explorer started running very very slow even text input is slower, i got FireFox and it runs fine, what can i do to fix IE?
well i've done the whole memory clean for IE, i've also done a system cleanup, and a defrag, i have adaware and i run mcafee… so i guess i'll try re-downloading it….so…next question how do i re download it?
i'm running on comcast cable internet

check your memory, and clean out your computer upgrade to explorer 7 or 8.

You can’t fix IE - it was broken before you got it. Forget about it and use Firefox.

Check what addons.active x etc you have installed. Did you notice the slowness after you installed something partucular? A toolbar?
Also - could be adware,spyware, so I would recommend full system scan, there are free tools you can download from the internte. (spybot search & destroy, lavasoft adaware,) and also virus scan (avast,AVG, ANTIVIR from Avira - my recommendation - all free from private home use.).
Don’t forget to delete cache,temporary files,cookies..

Empty your temporary hard drive cache and your internet cache.
go to computer > right click your hard drive > choose properties and then disk cleanup. Click EVERY box and let it delete!
In IE, if you’re running IE7, then go to tools > delete browsing history > and choose to delete all
You’re not going to mess anything up, its just refreshing your computer to make more room for more stuff!

wat is the speed of ur internet connection?…..
theres a possibility that ur PC has a virus. or it is also possible that u have too many programs on ur PC. I suggest try scan ur PC first with anti-virus. then if its virus free, try to clean ur pc using CCleaner or any PC cleaner.
