why is my vista graphics rating so low…..but gaming graphics is pretty good, at least for what i use it for. my computer has vista, my vista ratings are as follows
Processor :4.2
Ram :4.3
Graphics :2.0
Gaming graphics :3.2
Hard drive :5.5
I have an ati x 300 graphics card….i thought it was ok, so why is my graphics score so low….. and y are my gaming graphics higher…… what can i do to boost graphics…..is buying a new card the only way?????
ps. i dont want to hear stupid answers, like ati sucks, nvidia is better and all that dumb stuff, i dont need your opinion….just some help

Well, consider this :
The ATI Radeon X300 costs about $30, while the most expensive video card right now, the Geforce 9800GX2 costs about $500……
Sooo…. Why are you complaining in the first place? If you're satisfied with it. Then err… Don't complain, if you are unsatisfied, buy a more expensive video card…….
Besides, why base your "complaint" on Vista experience index when playing games is the most important part? It isn't important.

Your X300 is actually a very outdated card, about 2-3 years old. My dell came with an X300 and I have since replaced it.
Yes, the only way to boost your score and achieve better performance is to buy a new card. A 8800 series Nvidia card would be adequate, or if you're on a budget, an 8600 series. If you want ATI, you could go with the 2600XT, or maybe a HD3650.
