First, my processor is a pentium 4 with 1 gb RAM.
I defragment my computer MORE THAN 10 TIMES!!!! and I see no speed improvement!!
I clear my HD space but I can’t still see any speed improvement!!
Help me please
Last year, it was PRETTY DARN FAST! (weee)
I did use CCleaner too but nothing is improve.

well, how long have you had this computer? has it always been slow? defragment doesn’t increase your computer’s speed every 10 times you use it. same with clearing HD space.

Sometimes it’s best to just do a complete Windows re-installation because over time your computer just fills up with left over stuff that has been downloaded etc. Items get added to your system tray when you don’t want them to and this slows it down a lot. I’m told it’s best approx every 2 years to completely re-install windows, but make sure you have backed up everything, have the disks & registration numbers for your software and all your drivers. I’ve only had my laptop just over a year and have had it re-installed and it’s working like new again.

Because the processor is slow.
Because you have a small amount of RAM.
If it was faster when you bought it, you need to reset it to get the fresh clean feeling
