April 29th, 2008 · 3 Comments

I uninstalled unused programs in my laptop but i noticed that there are still some files and folders left by the program. Suddenly, Ive discovered some registry keys left by the uninstalled programs. I am so tired in deleting unused registry keys. Help me, what can I do???

When you don't have it already on your pc, just install CCleaner. It is free and does clean up your pc and has also a registry cleaner.

Some softwares when un-installed usually leaves some files, especially when they are still used by the system. Others are deleted after a reboot. A few others–files, sometimes empty folder, however, are left there because of a defective un-installation procedure.

For the last one, better use CCleaner available for free at http://www.majorgeeks.com/CCleaner_Portable_d5735.html which would get rid of these files after uninstall.

Use revouninstaller to delete all leftover files. I assure you, that all files as well as registry settings will surely be deleted. Give it a try, it is freeware.
