Does it still protect me from virus' if there are no more updates?

if it’s 7.5 thats cause there are none. sorry if it’s 8.0 try again tomorrow. if not, uninstall and reinstall it.

Mine still does, at least I updated the virus definition yesterday and it worked. Make sure you’ve got the latest one, I think it’s AVG version 8.
If you have older version it might not update.

AVG 7.5 stopped making updates so people would buy AVG 8.0. Happened to me too

it may be because you cancelled its download too much before and it stops now.
you can solve this by right-clicking the icon and clicking check for updates
after that, a pop-up window will appear and click the button internet
it will check for updates online and then it will automatically start downloading files on its own.
try it, worked for me because i have AVG as well

I havn’t had any install/upgrade problems. I’m wondering if you have an older version that they are no long updating? Or maybe it’s blocked by your firewall by mistake? Try going to their site and downloading the latest version, the first thing it will do upon installation is check for updates. Then you should be good.
