I cannot seem to get Firefox to open when I click on the desktop icon. It will not open through any icons or the start menu. It won't even open in the browser's safe mode or the computer's safe mode.
I cannot even reinstall it because it will not let me uninstall my version(its version 3). It shows no error messages when I click remove from the add/remove programs list. I also tried this in my computers safe mode and would not work.
I tried to install the 3.1 beta version and it will open, but it only displays about:blank pages every time I type in a URL. I click on the page info and it says it is an actual blank page when my address bar says www.yahoo.com or whatever i have typed.
What can i do?
I have tried:
Matching internet settings with Internet Explorer
Creating a new profile
Uninstalling(wouldn't even uninstall)
Opening in safe mode(still wouldn't open)
Made sure firewall was allowing a connection
I am running Windows XP home SP2
I have Avira Antivir, Comodo Firewall, Spybot, and Ad-Aware
SIDE NOTE:
Until today, Internet explorer was giving a "windows cannot find null" message. I FIXED that one with an automated registry fix.

Weird. Have you tried Revo? Otherwise I'm stumped.
