Why won’t McAfee Security Center open?

My McAfee program won’t open for some reason? Whenever I click the icon on my desktop only the main triangular window shows up for a few seconds and that’s it. The main triangular window is the same one that comes up when it’s loading at startup.

I’m using the McAfee that comes with a subscription to Cox High Speed Internet but I’ve never had a problem with it before until now. What could be wrong?

I have Windows XP computer.

      Maybe it’s feeling “Insecure” ! Even McAfee can have its “days…” Try again- tomorrow…. :)

      Do you have Internet Explorer 8 beta 2 installed? If so remove it. There is a known issue with McAfee and IE 8.
