I have Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone on my PC. And when I try to play the game it says that the file either cannot be found or is corrupted. So I tried to uninstall it, both by using the disc and by going to the control panel. The same thing pops up with the file either not being found or being corrupted. Can someone help please?

Hm, ok, there could be lots of problems.
1, incompatible with your OS (If you have XP or Vista)
Solution: *this might work but there’s no guarentee* Backwards compatibility by right clicking and hitting properties on your game and in the last tab you’ll see backwards compatibility. Enable it for what ever the game work’s with. You can find what OS’s it works with on the back of the case or box, or by checking online at mostly any website, try Wikipedia.
2, Stuff could have gotten lost, manually uninstall it by deleting the files from your drive, folder’s and all. Then get into your registry and delete the program’s key’s. Unfortunately, I’m really unqualified to direct you step by step as to how to do this, but google is a close friend of mine ;). Look up ‘how to manually uninstall a program’.

Your game is not installed properly some files may not have copied properly and unfortunately even your uninstallation files might not have been copied properly. Sometimes its not your fault maybe your game CD/DVD is corrupt.
Simple go to the root file of the game and delete the whole folder. You also need to delete shortcuts on the desktop and in the start menu.

well download CCleaner and try to unistall the game with it (it looks same as control panel unistall, but faster and better), if that doesnt work, then u have to do it manually, check and delete, and delete extra trash files that are always left over ,with CCleaner . If not even that works, then i recomand you to either delete it in Nero Burning ROM (it ignores any error messages that prevent you from deleting it) or if u dont have Nero, then download unlocker, its a program that figures out what prevents u from deleting files.
