I bought a laptop the other week, and activated my final ’slot’ of Norton on that laptop. However i had to trade in that laptop due to the fact it did not meet the standards to which i was told it had.
Now I don’t have any more ’slots’ on Norton - but i now have a new laptop. And my other one will definetly not be using it. Is there anyway that I can swap the norton to this laptop?
-I asked this is pcworld uk - and they said something about emailing Norton. But i don’t know what to say. - Ihave the receipts of all the trade in, refunding etc.
Can anyone help me please?

All you have to do is write Nortons Support and tell them your exact story that you have written here. Plus give them the information on your receipt of purchase and ask them for a registration key. If they will not comply with your request you are blessed. Nortons is pure junk, resource hog that will eat up all of your RAM and CPU, plus not good at finding anything viruses. If one is found usually leaves fragments of the virus behind. Plus if you ever decide to uninstall from your system, you find that this is not all that easy as over 375 fragments of Nortons and their parent company are left glued to your registry, files, folders and subsystem. Will cause serious conflict.
Myself I would not have one of their products if it was free or the only one in the world . Would rather be without and antivirus.
Here are two excellent free ones that you can pick.
Avira from Germany has a very high rate of detection about 97.6%, higher then Kaspersky Russia.

Or you can use Avast free version for home personal use, as background scanner, root kit detector and update daily automatic.

There is a joke on the new version of Norton.
The joke is like this “Norton is the most effective antivirus because it suck away all the system memory from other applications and disable them. No applications and viruses can run as a result. Therefore your system are always free from viruses. However, the only application you can run on your Windows is Norton.”
So I would go for the free version rather than the bloated and
unreliable branded version.
I would suggest that you get Avast Home Edition version 4,
which is free for personal use.
Avast is a very effective and free anti-virus program because it can do
a boot time scan in safe mode and it will remove the entire virus on your PC.
Even those viruses that hide inside the system restore folder.
Windows utilize a restore utility that backs up selected files
automatically to the System volume information /System Restore folder.
This means that an infected file could be stored there as a backup file,
and most anti-virus programs will be unable to delete these files. You
must disable the System Restore Utility to remove the infected files
from the folder if you use another brand of anti-virus. However, you do
not need to do so if you use Avast to do a boot up scan in safe mode.
